Hi guys,

I have a 1250 ltr tank with a few large panaque (30 + cm) and a red asian arowana (50 cm). Now I have the possibility to buy a protopterus dolloi (albino) +/- 110 cm. I really want this magnificent animal, but searching the internet I found out that they can be quit aggresive to tankmates.

Is it wise to buy it or should decide that it is not worth taking the risc? What are your experiences with these larges species?

Thanks!

Buy it.
but get it a separate tank.
It is a bit agressive. (it's my dolloi)
for a some extra euro's you can also get the polyester tank it is in it's
250x150x80 cm.

Hi Dennis, we already had contact, but this is not the independent opinion I was looking for ;). The problem is that I have no extra tank avaible, but as you can read: I really love it!

Any other reactions about this combination or should I stop dreaming about is ;).

african lungfish and I'm refering to all african species DO NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS THEY WILL EVENTUALLY KILL ANY OTHER FISH IN THE TANK

I've seen them commons and ethiopians live peacefully with others for MONTHS and then just turn over night and you starting finding prized fish at the bottom of the tank with no head or the stomach eatin out

WATS UP GRIF I still havent' got me another lung YET key word (YET)
