Should I Buy this 150gal?

The soon to be x-boyfriend of a girl I work with has a 150gal setup.. (no stand)

72 x 27h x 18w

He has the glass & "some other stuff" but doesnt know what. He wants $300.00 which is too much not knowing what the other stuff is; I think that 150.00 is fair, cause as most of you know I usually buy all new stuff on a used tank anyway...

The tank was a SW setup, and has been sitting over a year, who knows what shape the stuff is. He won't let her in the garage to take pics or get any info from the "stuff".. he is basically a jerk.

He lucked into this tank & stuff for free. :WTF: he has no clue about fishes.

There is no way I can do a fill test on this tank

I need to call him & make him an offer of some sort that he will accept then go there & start the negotiation once I see it all..

I can get a new tank, glass, glass top & basic light for under 350.

What to do, What to do?

I want to call him & go over this weekend but I need a game plan.

Offer to take it out of his garage for no charge. If you can get away with it.

I would tell him your intrested in taking them off his hands but don't mention price, just say you need to see it before you are firm with anything. If the guy doesn't know anything about fish then just start saying that "parts" need replacing your going to have to reseal it whatever just start shoveling and take it off his hands for 75. then work up to 150 if need be.

Just be like,"Wow this stuff isn't in very good shape. I'll probably have to reseal everything. And there are alot of scratches." Just point out EVERY little flaw. Be a prick right back to him.
