Ok this is a little childish but i value your opinions

on friday in chem we were assigned a project on a group of elements. me and two other friends chose halogens, but someone had already selected that group so we got all mixed up and it wound up being me, my friend nikki, and this other kid who is a total slacker. we decided we would all give info on two elements and i could do the powerpoint and opening information. this was first period friday. today at 8, still nothing from him. i have worked on this powerpoint literally since i woke up, should i do his part and save him or should i leave the slide blank and explain to the teacher how he contributed nothing.

I voted yes. You do his part, but you are not "saving him." You inform the teacher that you had to do his part.

He chose to be a slacker why should you help him along,if you do he will continue to be a slacker and a user.I say let him drown.

ahhhh very wise indeed

but is he a slacker do to stupidity or simple lack of care for his grades and youres.... screw it either way id go with rmorse's answer

I voted yes. Do the best you can on the project, then you and the woman inform the teacher afterwords about his lack of help. She'll sort it out.

we have to give a presentation, should i make him talk about the elements when he has no idea?

NO. I'm sure you get a % graded on the oral. She'll see him in the corner looking stupid. dont worry.
