The bottom line is that we're here to advise, not pass judgement. When it comes down to it all you have a right to do here is tell him what you think he should do. This place isn't for making remarks about other people's stupidity, he asked for your advice, and you gave it. That's all you can do. From there on out, you hope he follows whatever advice is seemingly most intelligent.

Ok, the reason why we got upset, is not because he asked us how he should do it, is not because he was seeking advice. But rather because he didn't want it and wanted to smash the fish into the wall instead of doing it the right way. He refused to buy clove oil, even though that is the most humane way to do things, and still insisted he smash this fish into a wall. Barbaric. So before you pass judgement, please understand that we WERE trying to help. I just don't see why if you care about your fish, you can't do something as simple as go to the store and get some clove oil. Like smashing it into a wall is really humane.

Popcorn puts alot of effort into his fish. If he posted a question like this, he is pretty sure the fish won't make it.

Then why not get clove oil? I'm not saying that his tanks aren't well taken care of, I'm saying, if he cared about the fish he kept, why not take the 20 mins to go get clove oil? It's a lot better than smashing a fish into the wall. I have nothing against him, by any means, but for god's sake, if you seek advice, and are looking for the right way to do something, don't insist on what you had in mind anyways. Take advice, and put it to good use.

I just didn't feel the message was getting through.
I have personally been responsible for killing thousands of fish, and the most sensible way for doing a pet, is clove oil, IMO.
I'm not trying to make enemies, and I apologize if I came off just trying to rip on anybody...I must have been taking the fishes side...
