Upgrade to a 180 or bigger. You have the only oscar that I actually like! I'm sure he would look even better in a 180. The rest of your stock would also benefit from a larger environment. They'll probably grow larger. At the same time, I feel your pain. I have a 120 and I do not look forward to switching it out with my 220. But I also know how awesome it will look with all the new fish and deco I have picked out. Good luck, Ang.

I voted no, if you don't want a larger tank then why get it. IMO the stock you have will be fine in the 125g.

If ya do go larger I would recommend going with a 225g. It is the same footprint but 6" taller then the 180g. The length to height ratio is less and makes for a better looking tank.

All true. And thanks for the complement on my Oscar. :)
I probably will go bigger.

I didnt know there was yet another size tank that has those dimensions. 225? Hmmm..... I'll have to look around for one of those. Thanks for the info.

They all seem fine right now in the 125. None of them are going to get loads bigger than they are now.

Gosh.

OH SHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention that I also have a 10 -11" Male Johanna.
I cant believe I forgot to list him on there.

That probably means I should definitely go larger huh? :wall:

I sound like such a NoOB right now. :screwy:

I swear I have been a member since 2005 even though it probably sounds like I just joined.

agreed. get the 220 instead of the 180. looks a lot nicer because of the extra height combined with the length.

I went with a 150 over the 125 for the same reason.

and it will definately be worth your while/trouble of switching.

a 220 makes a normal 125 look small.
