100% agreed breaking parts is much better than a breaking back..I have a little redneck in me so i built one myself. Lowes was my place, but mine just gravity drains to my sink. Use hook up on my faucet to fill. PVC suction end with a garden hose to a small converter to fit my sink. If it cost me more i still probably would have built it.. (GET R DONE)

don't know if this was already posted but just buy the sink attachment pieces and then buy clear vinyl tubing from a hardware store. Saves A LOT of money.

I'd say they are absolutley worth buying........my green adapter broke but i just made another one.........best thing fishkeeping has for water changes.....

I'd go insane without mine and the extensions. Changing water on multiple tanks varying from 20 to 120 gallons around my house qould be quite the chore without one.

I had 2 pieces broke at the same time, but they were easily replaceable. I had it for over a year before I had to replace those parts. It's a great product. Water from the tap isn't bad as long as you put conditioner.

Imo any drinking water safe hose is fine.I stopped using the pump long ago,its easier and faster to drain out the door or into the toilet

Get the python it will be worth it, even if it needs new parts, don't be a cheapskate!!! lol, you can even make a homemade one! I just drained my tank over the balcony on the second floor! I usally drain everything down the toilet, but just threw the python over the balcony this time and drained my tank out the rain gutter!

Only time I use mine is when I do a gravel vac ( once a month ) Other than that they are only good for tanks that arent near a hoose, or are to close to a ceiling.
