Should i get a Rhom piranha or a H.Armatus payara??

Hey guys, i getting a 75 gallon tank with a 4 feet by 1.5 feet by 18 inches foot print. I'm in a stuggle to figure out what aggresive fish to get, rhom or armatus. rhom are stunning induvidule fish (no tankmates) but armatus are a more interesting and exotic fish to keep where your can keep a few large tankmtes at risk. what should I get????? also if i get a small armatus, i am planning to keep an 4.5 inch delhezi and senegal bichir in it. is it safe??? Also, whats the approximate price of the armatus payara???

You CAN'T house Amartus in a 75 gallon.

Would be close quarters for either species...maybe a couple of red belly piranha would be ok in a 75 for a while..

A 4 footer isn't even remotly close to the size needed for an Armatus. quite cramped for a rhom also. try and get an S. Gibbus, another loner but much smaller.

yeah id say get a payara all day, but you just don't have the space. and i agree you could go with a small shoal of red bellys there pretty good conversation pieces

I would say go for a Hydrolycus scrombrodies they max out at about 12 inches making them a miniature armatus. Hydrolycuc tatauia max out at about 18 inches meaning a 75 gallon is going to be to small.

You seem to obviously have a taste for the larger fish. Why not just save up and buy a larger aquarium so you can house the fish you want?

LOL. I WISH it was as simple as that. I do have the money. (saved up a ton). i still live in my parents house (future high school student LOL). My dad hates me when I keep fish. He says its interfering with my studies (MFK all day long!!) my dad has sensitive ears so he can't even stand the noise of my 30 gallon!!!!ROFL!! also, every inch of my house is occupied. In the future, I'm hoping to get a huge house.....just for my future monsters.

No H.tataia?? i thought they grew less than 18 inches. Bummer!
