Should I get a stingray

Hey all I've got a 6 inch silver Arowana and thinking of a stingray but don't know much bout um I know he will be fine with the arowana but how big wot size tank should I get.

At the moment my silver Arowana is in a 210 liter tank with a plec but will be moving to a 6ftx2ftx2ft tank in 4 month tops

What filtration are you running ?? Rays need a bunch.. I would wait until your new tank is up and running before adding rays.. That way you don't have to stress them out due to moving them.

Got a fluval 305 in at the moment but if need change will have do when I move to bigger tank would 2 of these do, I will have a read but any replays on this would be helpful to

From experience, I can tell you that many (and that means almost everyone) are opposed to putting a ray in that size tank. Even a small species. They all convinced me to go with a 6' by 6'.

Personally i think 2 of the 305's would not do the job.. Maybe step up to the FX5 and your 305, or add a nice sump if you can do that..

X2.. if you don't have the other tank already i'd go with a 300 as a minimum for rays.. 8x30x24.. I have that and i'm already looking to go bigger or start up a pond..
