Should I get him ?

Just try not to get too attached to your puffer's food. ;) Most fahakas do not have takmates, they have swimming food reserves.

Agree 100% with Pufferpunk... i have mine in a 200G with 1 albino pleco and 1 yellow lab cicilid and they get along "okay", except my fahaka did once gently bite my yellow labs tail which did heal...

But with that being said, i've also tried adding dither fish on two occasions (about 20 each time), and both times they didn't last more than a week... and back then she was only about 10"

ok i was thinking just a few danios something to add some movement to the tank will they tear up live plants?

i don't think Fahaka's purposely tear them up... at least mine doesn't... mostly if there is food sitting on or near a plant they may take a chunk out of it by accident... or they may blow the dirt / sand around the plants causing it to be up-rooted...

They are great at redecorating their tank at will.

My lfs gets Fahakas for 15-25$ depending on the size, and amount the get. They are usually only 1 inch though. I got my 7 inch fahkah for 50$..... I would say it's a good deal if he is 5-7 inches.

I think he could live in a 75 for 1 year, maybe 1.5. He will need at least a 125 soon though.
