yoji nice to see you on here and i had a dwarf for like 2 years i had it in a 100 gal tank it was a great pet "TO WATCH" but never touch the thing was the meanest thing i ever owned but if i had the money i would get another just make sure you have really good filtration and good heat i would use a stealth heater cause they very durable and mines would drag the heaters around the tank so if you can use a sump and put the heater in there i would work best either that or put the heater under a rock also give it a basking spot the whole length of his body with a basking temp around 85 (the hotter they are the more attive but dont go over 95) also water temp should be around 78-80 i hope this helps

if you have never keep corcs or gators i would recmend learning how to handel the camian b4 for you get him the guy taden it should be able to do this handeling them isnt for the fait at hurt and you cant hissitate adn you will need to do this to clean or move the guy but they are great pets if this doesnt bother you i love mine

they look awesome when their young, just be prepared for when it gets older :D

I may be getting a young 7" cuvier's caiman through a trade im considering. Anyone had any experience they would like to share with them?! If I do end up getting it, it will be going into a 100gal rubbermaid then a aboveground pond enclosure I would like to build for it later on.... thing is I know they will hit at least 18" within their first year or possibly more. Yes, I do know how large they get and how aggro they can be so I dont need any, "ARE YOU CRAZY?! DO YOU KNOW WTF YOUR GETTING?!" comments please.

It's probably just me, but does that caiman have a really long neck?

Not really to me....I think it just looks like it does, because of the weird curve in it.
