Clown loachs have problems with ich and cold, but not much else, at least in the wild, they can live in some really scaggy waters. They do fine with the levels of salt required to kill ich and with temps in high 80s. I would be more concerned with overfeeding while you are gone, talk to your gf about that. Just do a partial water change before leaving (with salt) and don't stress on it. The slime coat on clowns and weatherloaches slows down the visible results of the salt treatment and the were probably heavier infested than the other fish. 10 days is the recomended minimum for the salt, not the max. They should be fine until you get back.
