I do not agree with you two. If I am going to raise, feed and work for a pet then it should be a fish that I want. Also, if you knew anything about FH then you would understand that this is a step backwards and if Cam were to trade these fish to an LFS newbies would probably get ripped off.

the two of you should reed about what dumping hybrids in the hobby has done to the gene pool of certain fish species. maybe then you wouldn't make stupid suggestions.

I would keep the ones you like and kill the rest.

Heyy Cam, you saw the post i put up about my fry the other week, so i'm sort of in the same boat you're in, only my males the ugly one. but i'm over loaded with FH atm, and gee whizz once they start breeding they don't seem to stop.

BUt i really like and agree with the comment you made about having to raise them to 2 inch to figure out if a fish has potential or not.. then at 2 inch they becoming to big to be feeders.

But i kinda agree with JDS's comment:

And i also figure leaving them with the parents is a good idea, not like you're doing anything wrong, if by chance something does survive you might even be lucky enough to be left with a unique one. Good luck Cam

Maybe you should of been throwen away when you were born cause you were too ugly. These are fish, living animals. Its people with your negative and close minded mindset that ruin this hobby. It isnt all about a profit or breeding fish to look impressive so you can show that off to your friends.

OK just bring them to life and give them away and have them mistreated like ugly fishes and die in pain. Not like they can live peacefully in any tank with any fish now.

Why would you wanna bring fishes to life and torture them? You make it sound all nice like you care for them and would keep all of them till they die of old age.

Everyone thinks differently. I would not breed these. Not like they have 1 baby at a time.

cull the ones you don't want and keep the ones you want to keep around as I personally do not think its a step back sometimes it has to happen to strengthen the line.
