As an animal lover I can't stand to see them neglected or mistreated in any way.I have a neighbor who has a house with a pretty nice sized yard and in it he has two dogs.There is a porch on the side of the house but the dogs can not get to it for shelter because they are tied to a tree that is some distance from the porch,there is no other shelter in the yard.The dogs appear to be a German Shepard and Cane Corsso,actually I have not seen the shepard lately.I walk my son to school each morning and pass this house on the way.Through all of the bad snows we have had, these dogs were out in the yard, now thankfully, we have some pretty mild days and most of the snow is gone.Today though it's raining and very windy and the dog is sitting there,in the mud and tied to a tree.I really feel like knocking on the door and complaining but I do not know the owners/residents and don't want to risk getting shot at so think I will just call animal control and report this to them.
Should I mind my own business or not??

The reason you feel obligated is because that is torture. Dogs are pack animals and tying them up outside tells them they've committed sins worthy of being banned from the pack. Those dogs suffer less from cold and malnutrition than they do of abject mortal guilt. They've been told they should not be alive and are better dead than part of any family. The jerk who did that deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of any and all laws.
Call someone and then forget about it. It's never a good idea to piss off (or on) your neighbors.

Oh no,not around here especially lol.....I absolutely would not mention to them that I called or would call, if a conversation even came up.No dog deserves this regardless of breed but I found myself thinking,why would a person spend the money that a Cane Corso commands and just leave it outside to rot.Piscine;4918206; said:
