Hey guys there's this huge Marble Sailfin Catfish at a LFS sitting in a 135g. He can barely turn and just sits in 1 position all day. He looks to be at least 2ft. I dunno if it's a Leiarius longibarbis or Pictus. I saw him a few months ago and noone wants it as it's still there...Anyhow I feel really bad for it and it's a pretty nice catfish. Should I rescue it and put him in my 450g where he'll be alot happier? Also would it be a bad combo with my RTC? My RTC is almost 13"-14"..There's also a 14" Pacu that I wouldn't mind rescuing as well:)

not the pacu
trust me
bad mistake
catfish could be a good idea
i say go for it bro
but no PACU
your bioload will soar through the roof and they just eat so much

I hear ya but imo that goes with any other aggressive monster fish. They all eat like pigs so bio load is not a huge issue to me. My RTC and Pbass's already creates huge bioloads.

Cant go wrong with a marbled pim! He wont outgrow your 450 either, even though your rtc will.

Ya I know my RTC will outgrow the 450g in a few years. My 450 is just a temporary home for my SA community til I move back home in 2 years and build my indoor DIY Monster tank or Pond with front glass view in my basement.

deff. go for it. if it turns out to be a pictus could be some of the best money you spend on a cat IMO. either way, itll be worth every penny. these guys are totally underated and totally awesome.

Definitely, your doing alot better than me with the 450, I was just saying, if i had the tank I would def get it!

Ya I'll probabely get it. I'm gonna ask how much are they selling it for and hopefully they want to get rid of it for cheap since it's been there for ages:D
