Should i save the oscars?

If you do decide to keep them, quarantine them first for 3-4 weeks before you mix them with any of your other fish. You never know what parasites they carry. I'd be doubtful based on his/her fishkeeping skills alone.

Yeah i dont know if i will i dont have the kind of filtration or room for 2 full grown oscars plus silver dollars and a pleco yet.

I don't really care either way, but how do you look at a picture of a fish -- with no point of reference -- and say whether it does or doesn't "look 10 or 14 inches"?

If you don't have the room or filtration, then why is it even a question whether you should take them or not? If you do, you'll be just as bad as the original owner. It sucks seeing fish kept like that when you're a serious fish keeper, but you can't save them all.
