if the dats and cichla grow at the same rate you'll be fine....as long as their isnt a huge size diff. Many here have cichla and dats in the same tank. Including me

Kelberi are some of the harder pbass to keep, so keep that in mind. Not that they are fragile or anything like that but they are NOTORIOUS for refusing to eat anything other than live foods. Some people have had luck at it. If you can get them off of live, they are priceless imho.

Mine only eat pellets.. nothing else. Which sucks cause I hate pellet poop!
