First off, I say YES! Go for it. Coral raising is a very rewarding part of the hobby. But, it is hard to give advice based on this much information. That much light is capable of supporting some lesser demanding hard corals, especially with close proximity to the light. You will know if you don't have enought light as the corals will brown out.
Do you have some measurements of water quality parameters in your tank?
A water change is a great idea.
Nice high 1.026ish salinity is also helpful
What other inverts are you currently housing in this tank?
What kind of flow / overturn does your system have? I like a 10x - 20x turnover, and a 20x - 60x in tank turbulent flow for hard coral health.
I would start with an aquacultured pocillopora, montipora or stylophora. All are good at slightly lower light scenario's. Getting one that is aquacultured is important, they have already become accustomed to lower light levels, increasing your chances of success. (and aren't being harvested off a reef somewhere)
Leave Acro's alone to start with. You have a long time to start thinking about adding those. If you decide you do want an acro, I would start with a formosa.
Good luck.
