clown loachy

I have a chance to buy an oddball clown loach, look at my picture, currently 60g with 8x clown loaches, I have an 180g to upgrade when they get bigger, FYI they cost like $1.89, also is it just me or does it seem like oddballs r so common, I saw 5 clown loaches with a dot instead of a center stripe. I am afraid that the bioload may be too much, since I cannot upgrade for another 2 years.

There are more oddballs than ever imo. I don't keep clown loaches anymore, but when I did I used to search high and low for oddballs..tanks and tanks worth. I went to petsmart the other day and saw 3 oddballs and went to another petshop and spotted 2 others that were really cool. A big spot on each side, and I saw another that was 4 striped on both sides. Maybe someday the 3 bar will be the oddball. lol I think 8 is alittle much. 5 nice size clowns would be a nice school for you.

Tones of oddballs, they aren't worth anything more than regular. To be honest I prefer the standard pattern, all mine are like that and I choose them to be this way. The perfect race! ;-)

I have single-handedly wiped out all my LFS' oddball stock. I'm jealous everyone else seems to have so many just waiting to be bought!

I have a couple of clown loaches,18 months now, only about 3 or 4 in. feeding frozen brine shrimp & blood worms,in a 300 gallon tank. anybody know the normal growth rate, seems a bit slow to me

It will usually be very slow with CL's. You can try powerfeeding, but only if you do ridiculous often water changes.

guess the oddballs really arent oddballs

If it looks like the picture, I would get it.....
