Should my tank be bowing this much?

If you are really worried about the bowing then you can reinforce the bracing with a 3/8" or 1/2" strip of acrylic in the middle of the tank. Its not going to look nice but it helps. Also, i would go with one stronger pump and split the return.

How would I go about bracing it? Sandwiched on the top brace already there?

I was just doing a w/c on my 130g glass tank, and noticed for the first time that the bottom brace on the front of the tank appears to bow. It bows out at the center, and I don't remember ever noticing this... I'm not saying it may not have always been like this, but it has been setup since last April... The glass is maybe 3/4" thick and the stand is very sturdy. The tank isn't perfectly level, maybe 1/4-1/8" off on one side.

I'm paranoid about large amounts of water and tanks breaking. Can I sleep easily tonight?

Bump to this.

My tenecor bows considerably in the back. If I reinforce it with acrylic which way should the strip go? Long ways(side to side) or front to back?
