Ok so I have a 10" tig and 2 baby paroon sharks 3-4". And baby loaches 2". Came home to my paroon missing a eye and a gill cover. Assumed it was the tig which was odd he was never aggressive before. Next night came home to my healthy paroon straight gone..... It was in my tig's belly. I added a hiding piece for my loaches none of them have been attacked. The tig doesn't move with lights on so I leave them on all night to prevent any more attacks.

So my question. What is the chances of my tig eating my loaches? He can't catch them now. But when my clown loaches hit 4-5" they can't hide like then can now. And I don't want them eaten too. I have grown very attached to my tig. But I refuse to keep a one fish tank. :( any comments?

sell the tig wait till ur fish are large then buy another tig

or just put a divider and let the loach and paroon grow big enough so that it cant be eaten by the tig

just feed it until it is full and dont make it hungry

Why sell the tig?either get another tank or get rid of the loaches. It should have been obvious that the tig would eat everything it can fit in its mouth. Its a catfish they eat anything they can, its not a tetra that eats flakes. Just get another tank, you can house loaches in a 55 for a while

+1

It's only a matter of time until the Tig eats all of it's tankmates. I have a bunch of large Loaches and have been debating trying the Tig combo but I'm hesitant because of growth rate differences. I'm afraid the slow growing loaches will eventually become a meal for the Tig.

BTW, didn't I see a for sale ad in the regional section. I thought I saw your Tig for sale yesterday for $200.
