Should the tig go :(

Its obious you have to do something. My experience has been that even if a fish is full the will eat something that they cannot eat. Ive saw many fish with there bellies loaded with food with a fish halfway out of there mouth and they still took my bate while fishing. There is one universal truth i learned a long time ago. If a fish will fit in anothers mouth it will happen. I dont know the growth rate of tigs or the paroons so i dont know if growing them out will work? someone else will have to help you there.
You from what i can see have to decide what you want to keep. Or as suggested get a divider or another tank.
Or the other option of just having very expensive feeders.
anyway best of luck

When you've had big catfish for a while you learn that you can only add large fish- my RTC is 30"
I might get a Paroon, one has come up locally 12". I (stupidly) put a Ray in before Christmas It was shipped to me and was smaller than advertised (4" disc)- he lasted a couple of days!
So, buy big, no matter how many hiding places you have, the 'big fella' usually wins!

Simple solution: Get rid of the baby loaches and get some jumbo 6-9" ones. Baby loaches take forever to grow! I got a 20" Tig, lives with 9 clown loaches (6.5"-9"+.) Smallest tankmate is a 4.5" AT Datnoid. No problems!

Once the Tig gets around 14", its growth slows down. My Tig is 3 yrs old, and I believe the largest captive raised Tig is around 26".

If you wanna keep what you have, make yourself a divider. They look like crap but very effective. I had one in my 125 for almost a year and just recently got to move it, due to the differing growth rates. Now looks like I will have to put it up in the 75. oh well, as long as the fish stay alive right. If you wanna ge rid of the Tig, let us know, there is someone here always looking for deal. If you go with the divider, feed the tig only as often as it NEEDS, and feed the loaches a good bit to help them catch up. Good luck.
