well i was wondering if there is a shovel nose catfish, NOT a tiget shovelnose.

and if so does anyone have any experience or info on them?

thanks.

Welcome to MFK!!!

There are many species of shovelnose cats. They range in size from a foot to a buick. What are you looking to fill? If a smaller size is desired, google Sorubim lima. This cat reaches the 16-18" range.

i only have a 55 now but it holds a baby aro, so ya know in the future a big tank will be in need :D

thanks

Ive had a Lima shovelnose in a 55gal, it should be ok in there. Tiger shovelnoses get huge. Other than those I dont know of any other shovelnoses.

I was wondering if I can keep a Lima shovelnose catfish in a 55-gal tank. I have a 6 inch goldfish, a cichlid, 3 small clown loaches, 2 common plecos, and 3 swordtails. Would this be a good setup. the temp is at 80 degrees.

I have a 55-gal tank that I would like to house a Lima shovelnose cat. I have 3 small clown loaches, a blue cichlid, a 7 inch goldfish, 2 common plecos, and 3 swordtails. The temp is at 80 degrees. Would this make a good setup? Thanks for your time.

WOW!! :WHOA: doing that no one will help you!! :grinyes:
