Shovelnose identification?

Here is your fish, either Sorubim lima or, IMO much more likely, Sorubim elongatus (very hard to tell them apart for us laymen):

Do you see the difference?
It appears to have a significant snout/mouth deformity (some of it perhaps the consequence of the mouth rot decease) and also thinner than it should be. Take good care of it.
Still hasn't eaten any food!! New small grow out tank with a small alligator gar and Florida gar also in it. Should I treat it with anything

Have you tried live feed? sometimes babies will only eat live idk on this species just a idea

I will give it another day or two before I get feeders for him!! I'm trying to avoid feeders all together as my gator gar is off them and same with the Florida gars off them too!!

Mine take all kinds of prepped foods greedily, frozen-thawed fish pieces, crustaceans, freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex worms, plankton. You can still try live earthworms or ghost shrimp too to get him started.
