How can you tell

Here is your fish, either Sorubim lima or, IMO much more likely, Sorubim elongatus (very hard to tell them apart for us laymen):

Still hasn't eaten any food!! New small grow out tank with a small alligator gar and Florida gar also in it. Should I treat it with anything

Have you tried live feed? sometimes babies will only eat live idk on this species just a idea

lima's DO like live very much.... imo..at least mine did.. put some livebearers(or other "easy "prey) in there for it
 
Mine take all kinds of prepped foods greedily, frozen-thawed fish pieces, crustaceans, freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex worms, plankton. You can still try live earthworms or ghost shrimp too to get him started.

Garlic is a powerful appetizer too.
