I like the idea of large coolers, however what about a 300gal rubbermaid container that will be hooked up to a cannister filter? I plan to do this during the summer

That would work as well. When we moved teh arapaima from Florida to Minnesota, we had a full tank set up going in the transport van (canisters, heaters, air stones, twin power inverters etc....) It was set up to run just like a mobile fish tank.

What part of texas are you from? I too thought about doing this. Just couldnt stomach driving 24 hrs straight with a $1500+ fish in my trunk
