Well my tank will be 740 gallons.. The reason I said I would need 4 totes wouldn't be for media space (I will be running a cubic ft of k1) the reason I would need that many totes would be for just total water volume for when I kick the pump off.

Thanks for all the pics. There's some good ideas out there... I'm looking more for what you guys have used as a sump more than whats in the sump.

I know a Guy who builds professional acrylic sumps here locally. Wont be cheap though!

It's 150g rubbermade two 2" inlets, two 3"spray bars, 4" outlet running around 3000g an hour
 
Pm Wednesday13 its his tsn pond that I was talking about. I do t know exactly how he set his up. But if his can support a 10' or so pond it could easily support that tank

Ya, looking to stay under the 100$ price range, if I go any higher I may as well just order a sheet of acrylic and build one myself

Does the plant only method catch all the small particles and keep the upper tank clear? I've always wondered about that
