This is my baby GT...got it from PetSmart a few weeks ago. Not the best coloration that I've seen, it was in a ~10g tank with roughly 20 other GT's and Firemouth's...but it is starting to get the red fin lining.

I'm debating on picking up some pure Spirilum (sp?) food to enhance it's green. Currently I feed it a mix of Omega One tropical enhancer/Omega One Mysis Shrimp as well as Aqueon Cichlid color enhancement. Will this help?

Mine at about 7".

Sorry, I just realized that this is my old GT... He was still around 7". The one I have now had the bottom part of his tail fin ripped off and it is just statrting to grow back, it is a little uneven... the tail fin that is.

K0y0te, what gender do you think your GT is. I have one that looks about like yours and a lot of folks here said female. I'm hoping male. Just thought I'd ask. Either way, your GT is a great looking little specimen. Should be a real show stopper when it gets bigger.

I thank female, but i am not really sure. when i asked MFK they said female to. you can see here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=361941

The past couple of weeks there has been a huge change in her color. I am starting to think she is really a he...lol

Yeah... Mine is starting to develop more of a point on his dorsal fin and considering his level of aggression I wonder if she is a he too. A little barely 3.5" GT trying to take on a solid 5-6" salvini. The little guy's crazy either way! And still a pretty fish. Still holding out hope for a dude.
