Have you ever crawled under your tank and looked up at the gravel? What kind of crawlies lurk? I'll go first! I don't have the best camera or skills, but you can see a tubifex/detritus worm toward the top of the first photo.

This one evidences some whiteworms and lost plant matter.

I don't. Only happens when you sport regular gravel.

I think it's funny when I poke down there, and my fish are wondering what the heck is going on. Putting my fingertip under there in the bare spots, and moving it under their little homes pisses them off too ha.
 
I have done this with my planted tanks and you really see how well they root! its amazing just how far the roots for those things go out

I am learning to post photos lately, so now I get to tout more clout about wanting to see things.
 
Aww, come on! Seriously? With all of the thousands of aquariums and cameras out there, I get no love on this? I thought I had something here! *kicks rocks*
 
I have a stand under neath my tank, and foam between it and the tank. 8(
