I only have one tank that I can see into the bottom of the tank except for a bare bottomed tank...
It looked like sand pressed against glass...
I took 3 pics, but they were to borring to bother uploading.
I'm not saying my tanks are spotless by anymeans, but stuff just doesn't settle to the bottom of sand the way it does gravel. My ickies stay at the top and are removed each week.
which is why I switched to sand in the first place, and this confirmed it was a wise choice...
