show off your chocolate cichlids

Since I have 2 chocolates and 4 different varieties of sevs, I would say my sevs are more just a bit more beautiful (and interactive) through my eyes. To the OP, get both!

Should have gave this thread s different name lol but in your opinion what is your best looking sev ? Would love to see some pics

My crappy cell phone doesn't do the fish justice, so that wouldn't really help. Of the 4 I have, I feel my notatus is my most beautiful while my wife thinks its the red-spotted gold. That's not to say that my green is anyway inferior in the beauty department. The rotkiels are still juvies at 4" so can't say how they'll look once grown.

What makes you say chocs over the sev ?

Personally I prefer their shape / colour but aside from that I also think chocolates are different to a lot of other cichlids like sevs in terms of behaviour. They glide through the water at a slight angle keeping an eye on the surface waiting for a bug to fall in the water like they do in their natural habitat. A very original species

Chocolates are my favorite cichlid. I do love severums also, but I would go chocolate over them:

Agree with the above, love my Chocolate. I have him with severums as well and while I like both, I would chose the Chocolate overall if I had to make the choice.
