Wanted to see other members cryptoheros. I have been thinking of maybe adding one to my tank 150 gal. I have an hrp is their a chance they could pair up and start causing havoc. I wanted to see what other members fish look like and what their tank mates are
Really like
nanoluteus
Myrnae
chetumalensis
panamense
Sajica

Here's my old male cutteri, had to get rid of my pair since they were harassing my catfish but I miss them and am probably getting some Nanoluteus soon.

I find nanoluteus and panamense to be excellent community additions, peaceful and beautiful.
Also the sajica if other fish are sufficiently robust.
My sajica pair

nanoluteus

am also growing out a group of panamense, not quite old enough to show true color yet though. Had some years back that showed amzing red/purple at maturity.

Would keeping a single crypto diminish its color ? I already have an hrp in there

Duanes when I die I wanna come back as you ! You have more fish than the brooklyn aquarium !

I keep a single sajica female and she looks great. She is a male killer, so she constantly ends up alone.

My pair of C. Panamensis.

Don't limit to Cryptoheros species. There are other convict like CA/SA such as Red Ceibal and Rainbow Cichlid that are comparable to Cryptoheros in look, size and behavior.

Fug are they all in the same tank ? Is it possible that a pan would clash with my hrp?

At the time of the photos they were in separate 30 gal tanks. The C. panamensis (6) are now in a 125 gal growout with young P. breidohri (4) and Thorichthys maculipinnis (3). I'm not sure if there would be a problem with a hrp - depends on personality. In my experience neither are overly aggressive if given enough space.
