Show Off Your Gobies (Or Other Weird Bottom Dwellers)

Not really a goby but it's another weird bottom feeder. Rineloricaria eigenmanni a.k.a. the whiptail cat. This is the best pic of my female I got.

The only way to tell males from female is to look at the lips. If it's only got the 2 whiskers it's a female but if it's got what looks like a mustache it's a male. They breed allot like plecos do in the fact that they are cave spawners and that the male takes care of the eggs and fry. Only difference is that these guys are actually lip brooders, meaning the male will carry the eggs on his mustache. Also these guys tend to be more carnivorous then plecos from what I've noticed with mine. They only get upto about 8in roughly, most of which being tail and tailfin.
