Great thin bars all.. I too have had SDS with all my thin bars. Sort of afraid to buy another. All mine were between 2.5"-4.5".

SDS..... I reckon there must be a reason for such suddem deaths. .. but how do we go about knowing why it happens.? Unless.we do autopsy ......

I think it could be something as simple as stress...either from transportation. .. or stress generated from water conditions or other tank mates.

When I upgraded to bigger tank... I moved all my filters and pipe work from old tank to new. .. transferred as much old water as possible. Filters were prob off for about about 45 mins. also added seachim stability

On day 3,4 and 5 of the new tank running. I lost about 7 ntts. Between 3 and 7 inch.
All other fish leo. Indos. Archers were all fine.

The unexplainable ones are the ones that die at 10" suddenly with no changes at all

between the 2, AT would be a better choice imo. don't have to worry about SDS, and they have a better success rate. their not as good looking as IT or ST's imo, but the better choice between the 2 you mentioned.

Ade I attribute most NTT deaths to some kind of parasite that the other types apparently are not as susceptible to and I have suggested a while back that all new thinbars should be promptly treated with a good anti parasite medication.
