Bump this one. Since this time of year some guys have to put there toys away due to snow. :(
Others of us keep running them. :)

I finally picked up an extra trunk lid so I don't have to swap wings from street to track anymore. I can just swap entire trunk lids. Getting it set up to run around the track at Homestead Miami Speedway again coming up. Both FARA and NASA are hosting events back to back weekends as well as an HPDE mixed in as well.

Not at all. On a 4 door Civic with a loud muffler, sure. However, on a race track (which is what those ricer wannabees are trying to act like), it's fully functional. It's my track use only wing. Carbon fiber, fully adjustable and at 80mph gives me about 500 lbs of downforce on the rear end. Plane angle is set very extact for my suspension set up. I'm hoping to scoop up a few seconds on my lap times next time out. Last time my issue was the back end being light. I've transfered as much as I can back and put on as much lightweight stuff as I can, but the heavy 4.6L with the supercharger and the monster T56 six speed tranny put a lot of weight in front of the driver's seat. I loved my old Roush for it's balance. The white one was almost 50/50 between the front and rear. This one isn't even 60/40 and I've gotta get that accounted for.

I picked that wing b/c it uses the same plane that the Roush Trak Pak vehicles use and they've proven it to be very effective. Figured it they spend hundreds of thousands doing R&D for their track cars, I'll just go their knowledge. I use different mounting points to put the load on the braced part of the trunk lid, and my winglets are shaped differently to work with the airflow coming off of the top of the car. I actually have several winglets that I can swap out.

Interesting, and I was going to ask what the spoilers purpose was..Do you mainly race against other Mustangs or a variety of different cars?
