dood, i see your arowana is pretty banged up, are you sure hes ok to mix with RBP and do i see an ryukin in there??

edit : gonnelro what is a "hob" ?

the aro is in a different tank now, I just tried to mix it with the piranha but it aint working for the arowana :nilly:

gonnelro do you still have the filter cartridge and biowheel in the 400s? or did you just fill the whole filter up with matrix rocks? what brand matrix rocks if you don't mind me asking?

So far so good guys. I have really had no trouble out of the pond nor the fish. They all seem pretty happy. My largest male Silver "Gandalf" has gone through another growth spert. Take a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7mXhkvGQBg
Isn't he magnificant? Everyones Aros look so good on here. Keep up the great work. We really need to set a president for the world on Aro husbandry. To many do not get the chance to truely live. Treat them like family and you will recieve 10 fold. Thanks again for sharing.

My HOB's still have the biowheel, but I dont use the carbon cartridges at all. Each compartment has two sheets of polyfiber for mech filtration, followed by two filter bags filled with seachem matrix rocks. I think the rocks are a bit overkill, because I have about 3 liters of rocks in there, which is a lot, but what the hell.

Actually, as I said before, I replaced the HOB's with a sump, but moved the HOBs over to a different tank (community 72 bow) and threw some more matrix rocks in them, as I had an extra canister of them laying around.

Wow you all have some awesome setups and really cool fish. At least I can dream for now.
