heres my 4-5 inch silver and his name is doofus hell b moving to a 60 at 8 inches and to a 180 at 13 inches lol around that the water looks like iced tea cuz of the drift wood
hello mosters my name is travis from utah,i dont know if this is the right place to go but here goes.i have been an avid fish watcher and now am a first time owner.have a 55 gallon for about a year now and have learned so much but am sure its just the beggining.in my 55 gal i have my pride and joy 12" arowana named mary,2 dragon gobys,1 peacock eel,1 spotted leaf fish,1 black ghost knife,1 rubberband mouth peco,3 large snails,1 blue lobster & a crab.also had numerous fish that have been dinner no suprise.
anyway i have so many questions to ask you experts and hope to be a master moster fish keeper soon.can anyone give me advice on how mary is acting?the last week or so she has been freaking out with any movement in the room me,my dog or anyone who enters she darts and attempts to jump out moving my lid & raising the lid.she is also loosing scales from i assume stress & smacking stuff.i first tryed aquarium salt and lowered the ph that is still a little higher than i would like.all my other tests look good.i am worried she is going to stress to death and dont know what to do.i am also curious how often the water should be changed and if i should use bottled water due to her acting skiddish with any chemicals.anyway any input would be great.this site is a great idea.
