If they stay nice like these I wouldnt mind having one. But too bad they get so ugly when they get older.

All the ones posted are super nice compared to the older adults with the chunk face

Now, in contrast, I just love the really big ones. It's part of what attracts me to chocs. The chunkier and flatter the face the better !

Some beautiful chocs BTW ohdannyboy and Ryansmith83 !!!!!

...... loves severums - what makes you think yours is a female ?

A few pics of mine when I first got him 4 months ago at 3 1/2", until now at 8" and still growing/fattening up-

He always comes out and follows me around the tank, unless I take out the camera, then he hides. Here is a vid of him being camera shy as usual-

My favorite fish species by far. I keep mine singly in a 90g tank and grew him out in a 55g. In the 55g there was a 6" pleco in there with him who the Chocolate kept in a cave, and a 2" loach which he never bothered with oddly enough. I also tried him with a pair of 4" Gobies when he was younger, too, but he chased them around voraciously trying to eat them. I may get more fish to go with him in the 90g, but I think he's got that tank to himself for life now. He would likely be too territorial if I dropped some new fish in on him. As someone else mentioned, they can be nice and peaceful, but there are occasions and some Chocolates that will be territorial. But, definitely gentle giants/wet pets that will recognize their owners.
