show your overstocked tanks.....

3 fx5's on a 55g? Isn't one good enough for like 400g?

Seriously though, when all those fish grow up, you're gonna need a lot bigger than a 110. I'm all for over stocking tanks, but I've learned when aggressive fish get bigger, they need a lot more room.

If any of my tanks are overstocked it would be the 265 or the 40L.

The 40L has
6 N. Lelupi
6 A. Compressiseps
6 T. Tetracanthus sp. "shell"
4 N. Brevis (with fry)
4 J. Marleri
4 N Pulcher "daffodil"
8 Clown Loaches
1 Albino Gibbi
1 Albino chocolate

Ok no pics yet,

55gal
11inch choco pleco
4 inch spotted catfish
7 inch black ghost
x2 5inch gold severums
x2 2inchConvicts
x2 4inchlarge African cichlids
x2 2inch and 4inch clown loaches
3inch fire mouth cichlid
6inch bala shark
3inch black shark

Flame away. Its perfect water, no ammonia, nitrates, anything. And i do 30% water changes every 3 days :)

Ive got 3 fluval fx5s on this baby.

Im building a 110 for them anyways, so its all good. :D

ok i believe you got the tank but i sure dont believe you got 3 fx5's running on a 55gal. even if you were telling the truth the type of fish you got in your 55gal dont need such a strong filter . I just dont believe somebody will spend over $700 on filters for a 55gal tank.

Hmm lets see
200 gal
24 inch fire eel
4 silver dollars
9 yr + trinidad pleco
3 yoyo loaches
2 cory cats
1 panda cory
spottted leopord perch
well hidden cat fish
1 Blue Acara
2 Kribensis
Not sure how to go to the photo album place to get a pic but I think maybe I am a bit overstocked. bi-weekly 20% water changes, and lots of TLC

I agree. If you're going to spend that much on filtration, why not just buy a larger tank? You can get 125 setups on CL for a couple hundred bucks. In addition, I don't believe there are no nitrates. Sounds crazy to me that the tank would be that heavily stocked and have no nitrate -- the water changes must be 100%.

In a 6x2x2 right now:
1 Jag
1 RD
1 GT
1 Dovii
1 Striped Headstander
2 Pacu
2 Spanner Barbs
1 Silver Aro
2 Clarius Catfish
5 Various Plecos (including an adonis!)
1 Pangasius
1 TSN
1 RTC
1 TSNxRTC
1 Perruno
Eheim filters, 50% water changes every week, all the big cats, pacu and aro about to be moved into a pool to get it a bit more sensible! (a lot of the fish are still small (ish) so it's not as bad as it really sounds)

pics of the three FX5's or it doesn't exist :) Where does a 13 year old get over 700 for filtration alone?

if your fish are healthy looking, well fed, and growing, you're probably doing right by them. but, if you have a bunch of fish and your water is looking CLOUDY, that's a bad sign. you're harming your fish for the sake of your ego.

I got a 30g tank with 1x full grown angelfish, 1x 4-5" rhino pleco, and about 200X dime sized ivory mystery snails. I'll take pics tomorrow.

It used to have 2x angelfish, 1x rhino pleco, 8x 2-5" clown loaches, and 3x 6" SAE.

I have a 250G glass aquarium for sale in Miami, FL. if any of you are interested pm me. Snails are for sale also.
