Thanks...that's her.... Took on the definite female appearance just before laying eggs late August early September... has been laying eggs every 2 to 3 weeks since....

Looks awesome mate but why is he so small? Do they grow that slow? Ive just picked up a 9 incher was hoping for 12 inch in 6 months!?

I tend to underfeed a little bit, figured it should help him live longer... seeing him every day makes it kinda hard to tell exactly how much he's growing but i can notice differences in his length and/or width every few months so i know he's still growing.... just very slowly. And for me at least, his growth rate slowed way down at the 7-8" mark. Personally, i think you'd be lucky to even get yours from 9" to 12" in a year. He'd have to average 1 inch every 4 months and i know mine hasn't been doing that as he's gotten bigger... unless mine somehow got stunted along the way, got him in november of 2012 when he was about an inch long and has been in a 125g for most of his life. I hope that's not the case though

9" to 12" in 6 months will be tough. All I can say is change the piss out your water.
My current one is right at 13" & abt 2 - 2.5yrs kept in great conditions. One before i rescued this one was right at 16" & around 5-7yrs. He's still right at 16" last i checked. Both had parents from coa & rapps. They grew super fast until 10" then growth really slowed down
