how long have you had him? and how long did it take for the whiskers to appear?

I"ve had him almost a year already. I got him from Infinite aquatics at around 17". His whiskers really started growing about 7 months ago. He feeds on dainichi XL pellets, driftwood, and market shrimp. Heres a pic when I first got him.

Not sure on age as I got him from Rich at Infinite at 17". He's currently pushing 18"+. He's in a 120g(48"x24"x24") Filtration is a Rena XP3 and a hydro sponge.

Yeah its just amazing hhahahah, I can't wait till my Royal gets that big! ahhaha I hope mine gets whiskers too that is just one of the best Royals I have seen.

I didn't realise the whiskers took so long to grow as well... ahahah only after 17"s

They start growing when they are smaller but I think the diet helps alot. I've seen many panaques at 8-9" with whiskers.
