Do the b. cupido like the giant plecos ?

I haven't had any issues w/ the B. cupido and larger plecos.

The only issues I've had w/ plecos and cichlids is (1) some plecos try to get eggs or fry when cichlids are breeding and (2) some larger cichlids ime, won't tolerate plecos.

I will be honest and say that I’m not a huge pleco fan but I recently got a couple Panaque nigrolineatus from a friend. They’re kinda growing on me as these couple are kinda feisty and have chased 10” fish away from certain spots in the tank. I don’t know if that’s common but it’s pretty entertaining.

What size? Are you keeping the together or in separate tanks? What are you feeding them?

Separate tanks, each in a 240g. They’re still relatively small, one is about 5” and the other closer to 6”. I understand they get quite large so I’m hoping their growth isn’t very fast, Lol.

They’re eating Northfin wafers and Repashy Meat Pie a couple of times per week. They’re starting to venture out when the fish are feeding so that will be interesting. The fish are fed on Northfin veggie, NLS Algaemax, and Northfin Bug Pro.

Sounds good. Hopefully this is the 1st 2 of many, many, more plecos in your tanks. 😉

All my fish get pellets, wafers and flakes exclusively (NLS, Dr Bassleer, Northfin) , but a good friend of mine who specializes in breeding plecos feeds his plecos a 50/50 mix of Repashy Soilent Green / Bottom Scratcher, and fresh veggies..

I have so much fish food and love trying new stuff. I know you did that consultation with Dr Bassleer so it’s interesting you’re using their food brand. How do you compare it to NLS and NF?

Another breeder friend of mine feeds her 100+ tanks Dr. Bassleer, Repashy and Fresh veggies.

I tried Repashy, but it's too much work for me. I tried Dainichi, but if I recall, I had concerns with one of the ingredients.. If I recall it was also pricier. I tried Dr Bassleer and the fish seem to really love it. I've seen good growth and color from all my fish. I'm no food expert, but their pellets almost seem fresher, contain a lot of natural, hopefully beneficial, ingredients, and all varieties seem to have high protein content. They're more palatable and sink faster than the typical pellet. They also offer a nice variety. I currently have 4 varieties of Bassleer pellets in my rotation w/ 3 varieties of NLS. The negative, the smallest Bassleer pellet (M) is almost like dust and I think the size M and L pellets cloud the water a bit, temporarily.. You could prolly just use XL - 3XL to avoid that unless feeding really young fry / growouts.

The only Northfin product I use is the Carnivore wafers, because NLS doesn't make one and I have alot of carnivore plecos.
