This is a bit sad isnt it!. I saw this thread and decided to pluck all 150 of them out of my polystyrene in the fish house and hand them to my 7 year old daughter to carefully arrange on my Juwel aquarium lid,kept her out of trouble for a while.I gave some of the biggest ones to friends,some were 15cm long,they were off a large male Otorongo ray i had many years ago.

I used to collect them. I give them to science teachers I know for use with their microscopes. Pretty coaptivating for the kids (of all sizes).

At what age do rays start shedding their stingers? BTW are the stingers still dangerous even at that state?
