Alex, those are not stripers. They are hybrids...
o i was tyold they were stripers or maybe he did say hybrids but they are still part striper at least i can say that but still they fought like he11 and were a great fish to catch and release but thnx for the info i feel like an idiot now but i dont fish for them i was catfishing at the time and caught them on cut bait in quincy illinois on the mississippi so i guess i cant be too hard on myself for the miss id

That is alright dont be too hard on your self. I fish the Ohio River and if I got a nickel everytime I saw some one catch a 5lb hybrid and call it a "big ole' stripe" Id be a rich man!

a 5lber is a big fish?

by any chance would u kno if my hybrid would be considered big i beleive they weighed close to 4 pounds maybe 5 if i remember right but not quiet sure it was a while ago

i was laughing at the fact that a 5lb hybrid would be a "BIG OL" Striper!" but yes. 4-6lbs is decent for a whyper.

For freshwater and river, this is pretty big in SoCal. And just for the heck of it, a cat and couple of LMB's.
