my dad owns a commercial flooring business, i think i may have to tile my 55 tank, make a few towers, sort of futuristic desert-y

ok...after reading these posts, I had to do it.... Grey Granite ceramic tile from Lowes and cut by them for free.. what do you think??

very nice I didn't know lowes would cut tile for you. You must have taken some good measurements to get the fit that good.

I seen those at HD, the gaps between the tiles seems to be big enough to trap debris in there. Also, it's a slim chance that you will have exact measurements to avoid cutting the tiles to fit perfectly in your tank, meaning that your gonna have to cut each tile on one end to make it fit in your tank, unless you got lucky
