SHOW YOUR TSN

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This was a shovelnose I´ve sold when he was 10cm (+/- 3inches), now he´s 10 inches

I believe its a hybrid or some kind of breeding from other cat fish due to his head format.

This is my TSN. His about 1 meter long. his fat and he loves to eat and eat and eat. hahaha. And he is expensive now. he ate some of my fish. :(. But he is still nice to look at. Its been almost 10years already since i bought him. and he was only 5".

Question: What is the growth rate for these fish?

I am a complete noob at Catfish so, I am just curious to see that your TSN has only gotten to 1 meter (from 5") in 10 years!

Also, another (noob) question: If a juvenile has a thick white band on it's side, is it indicative of a RTCxTSN hybrid rather than a pure TSN? (Alternatively, how to identify a RTCxTSN Hybrid from a pure TSN when they are less than 5-6 inches in size?)

For example, this pic posted by Cichla Dude:

the TSN need more space to grow. its been 10yrs already but before i was not able to give him a good size tank. now his more comfortable with the new tank. I think TSN is better in ]v[onster tank or pond. 1000gals up. and more space to move. he grew up in my 800gals tank. But not enough for him, i think.
mostly its hybrid if with white band. but i'm not so sure about it.
