Lago Peten from COA. They are about 2 years old in these pics from almost a year ago. Male killed female after their second spawn a couple of months ago. I have sold a bunch, but still have a couple hundred fry to grow out another female..... Male almost let the fry kill him by eating on his slime coat and fins, I had to move him to a different tank. They lose the red coloration when not paired up. I will try to get an updated pic of the male at 2.5 years. I am guessing he is about 11 inches now.
Here is the same Lago Peten male in his hospital tank from a week or so ago. He still has a sore on his belly in this pic. His coloration has changed since not breeding. I am guessing he is about 11 inches now, and was probably 9 to 10 inches in those pics in the previous post. Sorry for dirty glass in my pics. Better lighting in this tank too.
