there is more than it looks. Its a 75 gallon sump. The tank is fairly heavily stocked, and the filter kept up no problem even without the 24x7 drip that I have on it now.

ok sweet, i like the sounds of that 24/7 drip you have running, iv been reading the post about it, im going to set one up on my new tank.

LOL Yeah that counts, how well does that ribon stuff work? Do you think it is better then bioballs?

Thomas.

CPR call them biobales. i don't know yet. since i'm still cycling the water. but so far so good. it has been a week. the water went cloudy on it's 3rd day then 2 days ago it came out clear again. i bought some large feeders to get it going. i think it will take another 3 weeks or so. i'm still debating on the gravel. :screwy: i might end up using black and white gravel. i saw some post and they look really nice.:naughty:

This is my 5x18"x18" sump with dual trickle towers, it was designed by f.s.o. works a treat with my eheim 2080 for polishing..On my 8\3\2..

Very nice, I was going to do the plants in the sump trick but just to be safe i might make mine the same as your's just with a 4'18"18" that way i will have more then enough biomedia for my 270g tank.
