I has 6 tanks up and running

2 - breeding guppies (feeders)

1 - African clown knife, leopard bush fish & 3 pleco's.

1 - flowerhorn

1 - 4 oscars

I can't see your pic but it's probably not wild or you would know because the seller would have charged you more and probably made a big deal that they had wild O's for sale.

Wild - it was caught in it's natrual habitat e.g. South American river
Not Wild - it was breed in a tank or farm pond e.g. 99.9% of what you see at LFS and box stores
Feral - a fish living in the wild that was released or escaped - e.g. Oscars in Flordia (I believe even fish that are born in the wild to feral parents are considered feral if they are not in their natural location)

Line breed tank rasied fish can look very different from their wild cousins. Fish seem to go in cycles; some tank raised fish can look amazing compared to wild, then they flood the hobby and then everyone appreciates the wild fish again and back and forth.

My wild peru does well eating very little as well. I wonder if captive strains have adapted to being overfed.

So does anyone know a place in North Carolina, or a place that ships has wild O's in stock? Looking to get a half dozen or so little guys to go in my 125.
