I hate valentines day. It's one large pile of consumer driven bovine excrement. Why do you have to pick a day for everyone to simultaneously show that they "care". I hear all of the diamond commercials and it just reminds me how much of the population is nothing but materialistic consumer whores.
I like to let people who are important to me know it more than 1 day a year.
(this brief rant was not directed towards any particular person, I just heard a commercial and it pissed me off lol------we all have pet peeves, right?)
Why do you have so much hostility inside your other wise very good natured self.. it seems because we live in America we have had some traditional things come down through the years that we really did not have much say in whether we wanted them or not.. probably some guy bought his girlfriend a gift..the guys name was Valentine and there you go.. Some of these holidays or special days do not have to be acknowledged.. you can like them or dismiss them according to how you want them to to exist in your life.. I am sure if your kind and good natured to the love of your life all through the year she would natually not care one way or the other if you bought her something special on Valentines day.. My hubby is pretty good to me all the time.. we do have our yelling matches, our disagreements our moods..but Valentines day means little to us .. Valentines day would never hold two people together.. no matter what the gift.. love holds people..humor and compassion and gentleness.. and genorosity holds people together.. The fish is the above caption was a valentines gift because it was given to me on Valentines day..because we happen to be in the store.. that day.. haha.. and because it was Valentines day i can remenber how old this Adonis is.. it has a little more meaning because i can remenber it better.. I would have got this Adonis anytime.. Rally you really have to relax and go with the flow of life.. and don't take all the commercialism to heart.. "your the man" and i think your a pretty good guy.. I have read many times in your replys to others to get in touch with you if they need to talk.. you do take the time out for people.. and i am sure the one who really knows this is your girlfriend..
