I just use cloth if you want a black background, it's not shiny and wont reflect back flash from the camera. At petsmart they sometime have really cool background like the one in my 125gallons but its kinda pricey.

my background came with the tank mate...its like styafoam or something similar,just slots onto the back with sylicone

These aren't great pix, it's hard to get a good whole-tank shot.

Fish: Pseudodora niger, Blue Phantom Pleco, Rubberlips Pleco, Chocolate Pleco, Reticulated Hillstream Loach, 4 Orandas, Lionhead, Black Moor, 2 Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, 5 Red-Finned Tetras, 5 Neon Tetras, 4 Long-Finned Red Skirt Tetras, 2 Glass Catfish.

Filtration: Iwaki MD-70RLT pump, Merlin FBF, Eheim 2017, 5 Gallon Wet/Dry with Bioballs , Reverse-Flow Biofilter with 55 Lbs. gravel, DIY 6 Biowheel Filter. All filtration is in a 300 Gallon Rubbermaid sump in the crawl space.

I built the stand and hood and enclosed the back.
