can we get pics to determin what happen? oh and u need to upgrade! that also can be part of ur issue.

i was suppose to get a 75gal tank last monday but somwthing happened. ill try to paste a pic asap. i never saw them having any hostility towards each other since i bought them together already. if that helps. ;)

i never see mine do it either, but they do

Mine don't. I have 3 Floridas in a 180. Maybe it has to do with them having space. I can't stress the importance of knowing your water parameters, both in determining the cause of the symptoms and in determining whether they'll heal quickly. I'm not trying to bug you by asking the same thing over and over, but I think that this is THE most important thing to know about your tank. Without knowing ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels, every guess, even if attempts to be educated, is a shot in the dark.

Got to test your water quality it will help us tell you whether or not your water is a contributing factor in the gars fin problem .... you also need to upgrade to a bigger tank that will help also if its the other gar causing the issue

justonemoretank, what size are your floridas?
and while water params should be good, there really is nothing u r gonna do to help with the fins. it most likly is not the problem. give it time and it will heal completely on its own with out any real need for you to do anything. but adding salt would help. Add some of that and it would help. No detremintal effects(as long as you dont add too much)

They are 13, 14, and 16 inches long. The parameters may also be the cause of the problem, which is why it's important to know them. He mentioned some white fuzzy stuff, which may be fungus.
